We were filming in Büyükada

On May 19, we took aerial shots at the Aya Yorgi church (monastery) in Büyükada. The roads in Istanbul were quite empty due to the holidaymakers who combined the weekend with the May 19 holiday, but when we set off on the ferry to the Island, we saw where some of the Istanbulites were going. It was very crowded, but everyone had a smile on their face and it was fun. We experienced the same intensity in the Aya Yorgi church, which leaves itself to a wonderful view after a long slope. Even though we couldn’t capture the angles we wanted, we were able to complete our shots without much discomfort.
